Useful Information:
Spelling lists come home on Mondays. If you have any questions with the homework, please feel free to email or call me. 'Spelling Champs' are students who get 14 or 15 words correct on Monday's pretest. These students only need to complete 2 spelling homework assignments (from the yellow paper in the binder) to turn in on Friday. Spelling Champs will not be required to take the spelling test on Friday, but will receive free reading/writing time instead; however they may choose to take the test too increase their grade through the bonus words.
Also, please remember to sign your child's reading log (located in their binder) each night. I am asking your child to read for 20 minutes each night during the school week, and at least once over the weekend. Reading logs will be collected on Mondays.
